The author of the book "The Search for the 50 Most Beautiful
Golf Holes in New Jersey" was invited to visit and photograph the Crystal
Springs Golf Resort's golf courses. Crystal Springs Resort is one of the
Northeast's premier golf resort destination with 7 outstanding golf courses in
beautiful Sussex County.
The Resort had a modest
origin beginning with the construction of Minerals Golf Club, a
Robert Trent Jones-designed layout measuring over 2,305
yards. This was followed by the acquisition of
the Crystal Springs Golf Course in 1992 and the Resort began to
grow. Three additional golf courses were constructed by the owners
beginning with Black Bear Golf Club, then award winning Ballyowen Golf Club,
followed by Wild Turkey Golf Club, and most recently, Cascades Golf Club.
The present portfolio of 7 Resort golf courses was completed with the
acquisition of the 27 hole Playboy Club course called Great Gorge Country
Club.
The Resort's golf courses have been designed by the game's
best architects; George Fazio, Robert Trent Jones, Robert von Hagge, Roger
Rulewich and offers golfers a wide variety of golf challenges and experience all
in one location.
